Sacred Reciprocity
Ceremony & Reciprocal Exchange Policy
We are changing the way we approach financial exchange for ceremony.
We don't want access to this work to be determined solely by someone's financial circumstances. At the same time, ceremony requires a considerable amount of time, preparation, resources, responsibility, and care — before, during, and after we sit together.
Rather than setting a fixed fee, our ceremonies are offered through reciprocal contribution.
We will provide a suggested contribution for each ceremony so there is clarity about what helps sustain this work. If that amount is genuinely outside your means, please speak with us. Likewise, those who have greater financial capacity and feel called to contribute more can help make it possible for us to welcome and support others who have less.
This isn't intended as a way to avoid talking about money, nor do we want anyone left wondering what they are "supposed" to give.
It is an invitation into reciprocity.
The medicine, and the experience of sitting in ceremony with it, is not something we believe we own or sell. The exchange supports the very human things required to hold this work responsibly: our time and livelihood, preparation, materials, space, ongoing support, and the many unseen pieces involved in creating and tending ceremony.
At the same time, you cannot know what our financial circumstances look like at any given moment. Like everything else, they are always in flux. So if you are looking at the suggested contribution and feel that the cost may prevent you from coming, please speak with us.
We ask only that people approach the exchange with the same integrity with which we approach holding the space.
If you feel called to sit with us but finances are genuinely a barrier, have the conversation with us.
We would rather have an honest conversation about capacity than have money alone determine who can come to the medicine.
If you would like to book an online conversation about financial reciprocity please send us an email. We believe every conversation leading up to the retreat is important and a part of the healing process that is unfolding.
