Our Story

Popo Niwe or “wind of the owl” (translated from the Shipibo words “Popo” [Owl] and “Niwe” [Wind]) is a collaboration between Mark A. Lewis and Tara Stonemother that began several years ago at a Kambo ceremony held in a beautiful retreat space then owned by Tara and her husband, Brandon. During their first meeting — and Mark’s first introduction to Kambo — Mark received a vision of working with Tara in sacred ceremony. Soon after, they began collaborating.
